Spritz Cookies

Who doesn’t like a warm flaky cookie! A classic cookie brought to you with a fun holiday twist of decorations.


Makes about a dozen cookies

Ingredients

1- cream butter, salt, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and extracts. Beat till smooth. Add the flour, beat till smooth.

2- using a cookie press, create shapes directly onto parchment. Bake at 350, 7-9 minutes. Should be very very little color on the cookies. Remove from baking sheet after 3-4 minutes to cool.

Variation- lets play with the decoration. Get a cookie press and make sure there are snowflakes and Christmas trees and wreaths and shit. Also, lets make pink, green, and white (also blue and white for Hanukkah) and lets get some non-pareils and maybe colored chocolate to drizzle.

  • 2 sticks soft butter

  • 3/4 c granulated sugar

  • 1 ea. egg

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 1/4 c ap flour

  • big pinch kosher salt
